Thank you for your interest in the Oak Park Women’s Exchange. Since 1974, the Exchange has provided a marketplace for artists and craftspeople to sell their handmade items.
Our shop is open year ‘round and features the juried work of nearly 100 men and women in all media -woodworking, knitting, sewing, jewelry, quilting, floral arranging, needlecrafts and much, much more!
The Exchange is a not for profit co-operative and can offer it’s members benefits not available at other shops. Set your own selling prices and receive a minimum of 75% (maximum of 90%) of the items sold. You will also be able to purchase craft supplies at wholesale, exclusive rights to original designs, priority consideration for our annual Holiday Art and Craft Fair (attended by 3,000 people annually), and a chance to meet other crafters like yourself.
Because we are a co-op, each member is required to work in our shop eight hours a month and two hours at the craft fair, you will also be asked to donate an item to our craft fair raffle. This keeps our overhead to a minimum and allows us to return a percentage of the sales to our members. We do not charge a monthly rental (often more than $100.00 at craft malls), nor do we keep the 50% or more as consignment shops usually do.

We will be happy to accept your application, along with several samples of your work for jurying, during our regular shop hours. Jurying is done the last Tuesday of the month. For more information please stop in or call (708) 848-4693.
